The Anatomy of a South Asian Woman is a poetry book investigating how colonization has affected the South Asian female body. It is broken down into 3 parts— the skeletal system; the circulatory system; and the reproductive systems. Each section is grounded in real scientific and historical research, providing evidence to the personal stories shared through poetry.
Bianca Modi (she/her) is a South Asian-Canadian author and law student. She explores personal identity and social advocacy through her creative works. Her first poetry book was self-published in 2022, titled The Art of Creation. She continues to spend her time writing, making playlists, and reading but struggling to finish multiple books at a time. The Anatomy of a South Asian Woman is her second published work.
