Theo Vandenhoff began as a solo venture in a living room studio in Toronto, Canada, with a vision to blend a plethora of influences spanning from goth rock to sophisti-pop into something unique and undeniably contemporary. Vandenhoff’s sophomore EP In The Throes Of Love features 5 tracks with full band accompaniment and an array of glistening synthesizers and drum machines. The addition of Tom Nixon on bass, Callum Crombie on guitar, and Sava Solar on drums has seen the music metamorphose into something even more rich, visceral, and cathartic.

In The Throes Of Love is an emotional amalgamation of Vandenhoff’s most turbulent and tender experiences. It reads as a cohesive ode to the ever-changing landscape of love, life, and loss as it seamlessly weaves between crooning gothic ballads like “Rosetta” and propulsive post-punk belters like “Temper”, “Evening Star” & “Eternity”.
