For the latest missive in their ongoing 'Spring Revisted' project, in which gems from the catalogue of disco label Spring Records are given a makeover, Acid Jazz Records has turned to Masters at Work man Kenny Dope. He delivers '45 versions', as the label calls them, of two stone-cold c lassics. He first turns his attention to Macho's 1977 treat 'Mucho Macho', building up through waves of dreamy jazz-funk instrumentation - smothered in delay and reverb - before unleashing the now familiar highly sexualised disco-funk groove. Over on side B, he joins forces with Magnus Frybeg to drop a deliciously dreamy, warm, loose and loved-up take on Millie Jackson soul favourite 'Don't Send Nobody Else'.
